Hi, I'm Malik Rouf
Founder & Nutrition Writer, MacroPortal
I turn fast-food menus into numbers you can actually use — calories, protein, carbs and fat for the meals people really eat.
No crash diets. No fear-mongering. Just honest nutrition data and practical tools, so a burger never has to be a mystery again.
My Story
MacroPortal started with a simple frustration: I was tracking my macros, standing in a drive-thru line, and I had no idea what was actually in my order. Restaurant websites buried their nutrition PDFs three clicks deep, the numbers were hard to compare, and nobody explained what they meant in plain language.
So I built the site I wished existed. Every brand calculator on MacroPortal — from McDonald's to CAVA — lets you build a real meal and see the full nutrition instantly. And every article breaks down one iconic item, one question, or one strategy at a time, with the math shown step by step.
My goal isn't to tell you what to eat. It's to make sure that when you do eat out, you're deciding with real numbers instead of guesses.
How I Research Every Article
Trust matters when the topic is what you put in your body. Here's the process behind every guide on this site:
Official data first
Menu figures start from the restaurants' own published nutrition information, and estimates are labelled as estimates.
Math shown, not hidden
Meal totals, comparisons and estimates always show their working, so you can verify every number yourself.
Kept up to date
Menus change — recipes get quietly updated and calorie counts shift. Articles carry a "last updated" date and are revised when figures change.
What I Write About
Have a question or a menu item I should cover?
I read every message — especially requests for the next nutrition breakdown.
